A simple way of measuring the foot is to use the spine of a book. Both the tape measure and the heel of the foot are hard up against the book's rightangle when the reading is made. Allow 1 inch (25mm ) for the difference between foot length and boot sole length. Example:- A British male with a foot size of up to 11.3 inches would select male size 9 (sole size 12.3 inches).
